About Therapy

Counselling can help with “here and now” issues and will allow you to explore your thoughts and feelings and process the emotions associated. It can also help to reduce negative thought patterns. Psychotherapy can help with more deep rooted, long standing issues and can help you to understand the impact this can have on current relationships.  This would allow you to talk through, process and set about positive change or to come to a place of acceptance. Therapy can help with:-

  • Grief and loss
  • Change in life circumstance (loss of job, divorce)
  • Stress
  • Low Mood
  • Difficulties forming or maintaining relationships
  • Early childhood trauma
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • PTSD
  • General dissatisfaction with your personal life

Normally counselling or therapy takes place once a week and we would mutually agree how many sessions you feel you need to achieve your goals.

If you would like to discuss whether therapy may be beneficial for you, please call me if you need any further information. Following an initial discussion, the next step would be for you to  attend  an  assessment which allows me to understand more about what you are looking for from the therapy process, and allows us both to see if we would like to work together.
